I met with the homeowner and she was upset about the condition of her kitchen. My understanding is that a local cabinet shop had made the kitchen cabinets and they were about 5 years old. The Custom Cabinets were in good structural shape but they had used MDF for the entire construction of the five piece doors. The finish was peeling and chipping and the doors were beyond repair. The cabinet frames and cabinet boxes were still in good condition but the painted finish were wearing substantially. After careful review, I recommended replacing the doors and repainting the cabinets with a high quality heavy duty acyrlic finish. First we masked off the kitchen area, then we sanded,  primed and painted  the cabinets with a HVLP System, then we installed new hinges, doors, dovetail drawers, drawer fronts, and decorative hardware.
